Why is Raja Ampat expensive?
Three things drive the bill.
The flight is thin. FlightConnections and fltmapper snapshots from September 2026 show Garuda GA 686 as the scheduled nonstop, a Boeing 737-800 leaving Bali at 01:30–01:40 and landing at 05:40, roughly once a week. What changes by season?
- July, August and Christmas weeks are requested first, so the best boats go early.
- Bali peaks June to September and holiday weeks, tightening pre- and post-trip rooms.
